Terms of service

Version 2 · In effect from 23 September 2026

This site tells you which New Zealand shop has a used game, and what they are asking for it. It sells nothing itself. These terms say what that means for you, and what we do and do not stand behind.

1. What this site is

Kiwi Game Bazaar is a reference and availability site for used video games sold by independent New Zealand shops. We show which of them has a title in stock, and what they are asking for it.

We sell nothing. No purchase or payment happens here, and we are not a party to anything you agree with a shop. If you buy a game, that is between you and that shop, on their terms.

2. How accurate this is, and how accurate it is not

Stock and prices are read automatically from each shop's own public listings, once a night. That means what you see here can be out of date, incomplete or simply wrong by the time you read it. A copy can sell within minutes of us reading it, and a price can change the same way. The shop's own page is the authority, always, and it is one click away from every listing we show.

Catalogue details (release dates, platforms, cover art) come from Wikidata and IGDB and can contain errors we have not caught.

Confirm with the shop before you travel or rely on anything here for a purchase. To the extent the law allows, we do not accept liability for loss arising from relying on what this site shows.

3. Where the data comes from

The catalogue behind this site is built from two open sources, credited on every page.

  • IGDB (igdb.com), used under a commercial agreement with Twitch. That attribution is contractual, which is why it is on the foot of every page rather than only here.
  • Wikidata, whose structured data is released into the public domain under CC0 1.0. No attribution is required for it; we credit it anyway.
  • Availability and prices come from each shop's own public listings. We poll only what a shop publishes openly, and any shop can ask to be left out at any time. The contact form is the way, and we act on it.

4. What is ours

The software, the design, and the work of matching and de-duplicating listings across shops into one catalogue are ours, and are not to be copied, scraped or systematically extracted without our written permission, the same courtesy we extend to every shop whose feed we read. You are welcome to link to any page here.

5. Using the site

Please do not:

  • scrape, mass-download or automate requests against this site beyond normal browsing;
  • attempt to disrupt the site or the systems behind it;
  • send false, abusive or spam content through our contact form.

7. Availability

The site may be unavailable from time to time, for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

8. Stock alerts, and features that are not here yet

A stock alert emails you when we see a new copy of a game you asked about at a New Zealand shop. It is only as good as our overnight check of what each shop publishes: a copy can sell before you read the email, and an alert can miss a copy. We only tell you about a copy we saw go out of stock before, or a newly listed one after a night we know we read that shop in full, and hold back anything else rather than risk telling you about stock that was never new. Stop an alert, or delete your address, from the link in any alert email.

Optional accounts and collection tracking are planned and are not built. When one arrives it is covered by these terms plus anything feature-specific we publish with it, and we will note the change here.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, including loss from relying on stock, price or catalogue information.

Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot be contracted out of.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site grows. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. The version and date at the top always reflect the latest one.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
